I just got a blank (white) page with the following error message when i tried to log in:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ']', expecting ')' in /home/gdchaosn/public_html/gdchaos/includes/form.inc on line 511

It only appeared once. I went back a page and pressed log in again and it worked fine. I just thought i should report it.

I have seen this one once or twice before but it seems to disappear immediately. I am assuming there is some sort of cashing issue here as this happens so rarely.

Thanks but it doesn't. This is definately a server error. If I was going to take a guess... the server is trying to get some "cashed" information (saves time from looking it up in the database) and pass it as a parameter to a PhP function running on the server. PhP is used to generate the actual html page your client (browser) will eventually receive. For some reason this info is not available (a null object perhaps) and as a result the php code fails and the html you receive contains the error message instead of the page content the PhP code was supposed to generate.

that was much more technical and helpful than my suggestion of "sometimes Internet Explorer screws up like that"
